In many African cultures, story-telling has always been a way of life. Stories, over the years, played the role of being the chief means of passing the history of a people from generation to generation.

They was also used for entertainment, community/family bonding, and for passing life lessons in an interesting way – similar to the use of parables for this same purpose. They were a sign of wisdom, and were often read by the elderly to the young ones in the village.

We warmly welcome you to read this story, one of many that was read to children as the family sat around a fire at night, warming themselves.


THE UNDECIDED HYENA
